Social responsibility is not a peripheral activity at DPS Gangtok — it is woven into the fabric of our school culture. We believe that education must create not just academically successful individuals but compassionate, engaged citizens who actively work towards a better, more equitable world.
Throughout the academic year, our students participate in a wide range of community service initiatives including tree-planting drives, visits and activities at old-age homes and orphanages, collection drives for books and clothing, awareness campaigns on health and environmental issues, and participation in local community development projects.
Our social responsibility curriculum is designed to develop empathy, civic consciousness and practical problem-solving skills. Students learn to identify community needs, plan meaningful responses and work collaboratively to create positive change. These experiences shape their values and create a deep sense of purpose that guides them throughout their lives.
