Music Classes
Our comprehensive music program at DPS Gangtok introduces students to the rich tapestry of Indian and western musical traditions. From classical vocal training in Hindustani music to western keyboard, guitar, tabla, flute and percussion, our music curriculum builds creativity, emotional expressiveness, cultural appreciation and discipline.
Music classes are conducted by professionally trained musicians who bring both technical mastery and genuine passion to every lesson. Students begin with foundational music theory and basic technique, progressively advancing to ensemble playing, solo performance and music composition as they develop their skills.
Annual music showcases, inter-school music competitions, participation in cultural festivals and our celebrated Annual Day performances give students regular platforms to share their musical achievements. Many DPS Gangtok alumni have pursued music professionally or as a deeply enriching hobby throughout their lives.
